A circle is not founded — it is recognised. Templar XIII began the way these things always begin: a small dinner, a quiet table, and a question worth keeping.
We do not belong to an industry. We do not belong to a network. We belong to a continuity — of conduct, of counsel, and of the long table.
Templar XIII was formed by founders, allocators, and old-house operators who had spent a decade quietly meeting on the island. The structure followed the practice. The name followed the structure. There is no founder myth, no charter, no public document — only a small council, a code, and the seats themselves.
The bond is small on purpose. Thirteen seats, held in trust. A member's word stands for him; his sponsor stands behind him; the council stands behind both.
Thirteen is not chosen for superstition or theatre. It is the largest number at which every member can be known by every other — by character, by counsel, by reputation. Beyond thirteen, the room becomes a network. Within thirteen, it remains a brotherhood.
The Roman numeral is our discipline. X for the long horizon — a decade as the smallest unit of trust. I·I·I for the three things we owe each other: discretion, capital, and presence.
The world knows the island for one season. We know it for the other ten months — when the founders, the families, and the long-term residents come back to the table. It is here that a private network has lived for two generations, in fincas inland and quiet villas above the southern coast.
Ibiza is, for our purposes, neutral ground. International by population, Mediterranean by temperament, off the calendar of every public conference. A man arrives without his title; he leaves without a record.
It is not a party symbol. It is a meeting point.
Six clauses. Each member knows them by heart. Each is enforced by the council, in private.
Membership, conversations, and counsel are never disclosed. Not in confidence to a partner, not in print, not in passing.
A member is vouched for. His sponsor carries his conduct on the council's books for three years.
The table is for context, not closing. Any opportunity that follows is conducted privately, between principals, with independent counsel.
A member acts as if his name were security for the next man's deal — because, in practice, it is.
Two gatherings per year, minimum. The bond is built in the room. Convenience is not a defence.
It is neither sold, transferred, nor inherited. When a member departs, the seat returns to the council — never to the market.
